Summary:

Namauu Technological & Industrial (NTI) provides innovative approaches to managing the large and complex network infrastructure across Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (JBPHH). Our team of specialists retain expertise in routing protocols, network management, and element management tools such as Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), and SolarWinds in order to effectively operate the network and troubleshoot complex network issues. Daily operations include first level computer support of workstations, thin (server based) clients, laptops, government cell phones, printers, scanners, peripheral workstation devices, as well as support of software installation and maintenance. Team NTI also provides expertise on local Cyberspace Squadron (CYS) application management including upgrades, vulnerability management and maintenance. 

NTI’s Cyber Network Operations Specialist-III is a critical component to modernizing Cyber Operations by expediting rapid response and integration of emerging technology trends and complex Government requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide qualified professionals for tuning the 15th Wing enterprise network transport equipment and circuits for optimal performance.
  • Provide configuration, installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, repair, preventive, and corrective maintenance for the operational network.
  • Operate, scan, maintain, configure, install, patch and secure all network devices for NIPRNet and SIPRNet in accordance with applicable guidance.
  • Monitor and repair all network hardware, software, and system utilities IAW Technical Manuals and local maintenance procedures.
  • Perform cryptographic rekeys in support of SIPRNet operations.
  • Respond to calls, emails, tickets, and outages from Client Systems Administrators (CSAs), customers, and the 747 CS Communications Focal Point (CFP).
  • Provide end-to-end troubleshooting for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, LAN, MAN, WAN, VoIP, VoSIP, and systems.
  • Maintain all network equipment identified in the local change management process, and apply Network Operations Center Support Services to mitigate equipment failures or unresolved technical issues.
  • Coordinate and submit all Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI) requests to the CFP IAW DISA Circular for all configuration changes, software upgrades, or preventative maintenance actions that involve interruption to JBPHH end users.
  • Provide database management of the operational network to include network topology diagrams, con-figuration management databases, standardized configurations, backups, report creation, restore, and purging of files.
  • Perform installation support for NIPRNet/SIPRNet LAN MAN, WAN, VoIP, or VoSIP requirements and support all integration projects during installation and/or equipment enhancements.
  • Support all inspections of the contractor’s area of responsibility. Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRIs).
  • Generate STIG checklist upon quarterly DISA STIG releases.

General Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of executing cyber vulnerability management programs
  • DoD and/or Air Force experience preferred
  • Possess a Secret security clearance
  • High level of integrity and accountability
  • Eligible to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance if required
  • Travel if required

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of network switches, routers, encryption devices
  • Knowledge of protected distribution systems, and fiber/copper (5e/6e) cabling
  • Knowledge of Automated Information Systems
    • Solar Winds
    • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
    • Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA) Center
    • Terminal Access Controller Access Control System (TACACS)
    • Gem X Universal Remote Encrypt Manager
  • Knowledge of VoSIP systems, Cisco Unified Call Manager Servers, Cisco Media Gateway Routers

Skills:

  • Skill in analyzing network traffic capacity and performance characteristics.
  • Skill in implementing, maintaining, and improving established network security practices.
  • Skill in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting LAN and WAN components such as routers, hubs, and switches.
  • Skill in configuring and utilizing network protection components (e.g., Firewalls, VPNs, network intrusion detection systems).
  • Skill in sub-netting.
  • Skill in configuring and utilizing computer protection components (e.g., hardware firewalls, servers, routers, as appropriate).

Abilities:

  • Ability to learn new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests from various teams and tasks.

Education:

  • Required
    • Bachelors degree with a major in Information Technology or cyber related field
      • (If no degree, must have 6+ years of direct experience related to the position)

Certification(s):

Required

  • DoD 8570 IAT III certification
  • Cisco CCNA (Routing & Switching)

Desired

  • Cisco CCNP

Work Environment:

  • Normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Lift and carry up to 30lbs
